- Sean Serpe has practiced as a bankruptcy attorney and a litigator since September 2000. He began his career at the Wall Street law firm of Seward & Kissel LLP (one of the top 100 US law firms), where he worked on the Enron, WorldCom, Adelphia, Trump, United Airlines and Mirant bankruptcies, to name a few. He also litigated major commercial cases in New York federal and state courts, as well as in California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Oklahoma, New Jersey and Texas federal and state courts.
- Sean has successfully filed over 100 individual bankruptcies since 2006 under the new consumer bankruptcy law, and is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the New York County Lawyers consumer bankruptcy committee.
- He also litigates under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, as well as under bankruptcy and New York State consumer protection statutes.
- Sean is admitted in New York. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern District, Eastern District and Northern District of New York, the Bankruptcy Courts for those districts, and the courts of the State of New York.
- Sean graduated from the University of Virginia (a top 20 national university) in 1996, receiving Intermediate Honors and was a member of the Dean's List. He received his law degree from Fordham Law School (recently ranked amount the top 25 American law schools) in 2000 where he was also on the Dean's List and honored for his top achievements on Moot Court. He was an active member of the Civil Rights legal clinic.
- Brent Pelton has been handling cases in New York and California since obtaining his law degree in 2001. He previously worked as an associate at the New York office of one of the nation's 100 largest law firms. Brent's practice has focused on director's and officer's liability claims arising out of corporate transactions and allegations of securities fraud, and now branches into bankruptcy, real estate, construction, and other areas of the law.
- Brent has successfully represented individuals in chapter 7 and chapter 13 cases, and litigates actively under the Fair Debt collection Practices Act.
- Brent also represents individuals in employment litigation for failure to pay overtime, wrongful termination and sexual harassment.
- Brent is admitted to practice in the state courts of New York and California. He is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
