A Bankruptcy filing will remain on your Credit Report for 7 years (Chapter 13) or 10 years (Chapter 7) even if your case is dismissed or withdrawn.

Will the Debts/Creditors that were listed in my Bankruptcy Petition be removed from my Credit Report?

The Debts listed in your Bankruptcy Petition will stay on your Credit Report, but will be listed as “Discharged in bankruptcy.”

Will my Credit Score go to Zero by filing for Bankruptcy?

No. Credit Scores typically range anywhere from 300 to 850. After a Bankruptcy filing, your Credit Score, or commonly referred to as your FICO score, should be in the 400 range, but can rise back up to the 600 range within several years of your Bankruptcy.
